This Fall, in lieu of having Class Dinners & a Picnic, the APL has decided to combine these events into one Great Kickoff Celebration!!!
The Academy APL will be hosting an all inclusive Family Picnic on October 21st from 12:00-5:00 p.m. at Turkey Run Park in McLean, Virginia. Come on out with your whole family for this fun-filled event! Meet your child’s teacher, get to know other ACE families, play field games, jump in a moon bounce…and take advantage of the Amazon misting station! Families will also receive entry into Claude Moore Colonial Park and will enjoy lunch and yummy treats throughout the whole afternoon.
The cost will be $75.00 per family, $40.00 per additional adult/$20.00 per additional child (outside of the immediate family). We sincerely encourage each family to set aside this time to invest in relating with other ACE families and believe that you will be blessed by your time with us. This year, ACE will once again be partnering with local restaurants and SmartLunches to provide Hot Lunch Options.
Hot Lunch Options will be as follows:
Mondays - SmartLunches
Tuesdays - SmartLunches
Wednesdays - Chick-fil-a Chicken Nuggets
(with apple sauce, cookie, and choice of beverage)
Thursdays - SmartLunches
Fridays - Pizza (cheese or pepperoni, from Pizza
Boli’s in Reston, with a water bottle)
To purchase or make changes to your child’s Hot Lunch order, please contact Mr. Rogers by phone or email. Food orders go in several days prior to the day they are offered to students, so please allow several days to make changes to your child’s lunch order.
Hot Lunches will begin the second week of school on September 11th.
The Academy Parent League (APL) is doing a school-wide collection of funds designated to treat teachers, aides, and administrative staff for their birthdays, Christmas, and grade-level assigned Staff Appreciation months.
If you are interested in making a monetary contribution, you can send in a designated check with your child to school or you can donate online by completing the form HERE.
Donations are suggested at $100, but all contributions are welcome and greatly appreciated!
Our students and staff worked very hard this year to put together Spring Programs, showcasing some of what they learned in Music Classes this year.
